Nationally, the UCU is the largest trade union and professional association for academics, lecturers, trainers, researchers and academic-related staff working in further and higher education throughout the UK. At a local level, Bangor UCU (BUCU) is the recognised campus trades' union which represents the interests of the academic and academic-related staff of the university. BUCU

protects your interests and helps you to solve your problems at work
campaigns on your behalf for improved quality of education and research, salaries, conditions and pensions
negotiates and consults with university management on your behalf.
